A Letter to Those Who Knew the Old Me. . .

I want to forewarn you that most of my beliefs and ideas are going go be from a godly perspective. You've seen and heard the difference over the past few months and I remember you saying that you thought I was being dramatic. And you were right; that's the point.

When God finally reveals himself and the truth to your heart its beyond dramatic. Words can't even describe. Who I once was...what I once thought I knew went completely out the window. That's what it means to believe and follow Christ. You have to sacrifice yourself. Now I am not saying that I am perfect or holier than thou because I'm definitely not. It's a process; God is pruning me. He's pruning my old sinful ways and thoughts and ideas out of me; he's making me new. If I tell you that God changed my life, then you're supposed to see that change. That's exactly why it's dramatic.

Jesus is real and the way I was living my life before was as if I thought he wasn't. Which is not far from the truth. I thought he was real like a person I just learned about in history class, but now it's clear that not only is he real but he is as real as its going to get. He is the reason for life.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is –his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2

“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me.  I have made you[a] known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”  John 17:25-26
